ATS Result Checker: How to Check Your ATSWA Result (No PIN)

To check your ATS (ATSWA) result, open ICAN’s ATSWA Exam Results checker, select your diet and level (ATS 1, 2 or 3), then enter your student examination number and registration number. Unlike the ICAN professional result checker, the ATS checker does not ask for an e-voucher PIN — your two numbers are enough. Results for every diet back to 2005 stay available on the same page.
How to check your ATSWA result (step by step)
- Open the official checker at icanig.org → Students → ATSWA → ATSWA Exam Results.
- Select your examination diet — for the most recent sitting, that is March 2026; the menu lists every diet back to March 2005.
- Select your examination level: ATS I, ATS II or ATS III.
- Enter your student examination number — the number on your examination docket.
- Enter your student registration number, then click Check Exam Result. Your paper-by-paper scores and overall status display on screen.
What you need (and what you don’t)
| Requirement | Needed for ATS results? |
|---|---|
| Examination diet and level | Yes — selected from the form |
| Student examination number | Yes — from your exam docket |
| Student registration number | Yes — your ATS registration number |
| e-voucher PIN | No. Only the ICAN professional checker asks for a PIN |
When are ATSWA results released?
ATSWA sits twice a year, in March and September, and ICAN typically releases results four to six weeks after the examination. The March 2026 results, for example, were hosted on the portal in late April 2026. Release announcements appear on ICAN’s ATSWA pages and the Institute’s social channels.
Lost your examination number?
Your examination number is printed on your examination docket. If you no longer have the docket, reprint it from the ATSWA Exam Dockets checker using your registration number, then return to the results page.
After the result: your next step
- Passed a part? Download the ATSWA Insight past questions and the official study packs for your next part.
- Completed ATS III? You are eligible for the AAT certificate — and generous exemptions when you register for the ICAN professional exam. The chartered accountant roadmap shows the full route.
- Referred in a paper? Work that paper’s last four Insight packs before the next diet — the examiners’ comments show exactly where marks were lost.
Frequently asked questions
Can I check my ATS result without a PIN?
Yes. The ATSWA checker asks only for your diet, level, examination number and registration number. No e-voucher PIN is involved — that requirement applies to ICAN’s professional examination results, not ATS.
Can I still check old ATSWA results?
Yes. The diet menu on the checker goes back to March 2005, so past results remain retrievable with the same two numbers.
My result page shows nothing — what now?
Recheck that the diet and level match the sitting you wrote, and that both numbers are typed exactly as issued. If the details are correct and nothing displays, contact ICAN’s students’ affairs desk through the ATSWA section — results occasionally post level by level rather than all at once.
Where do I log in to the ATS students’ portal?
At icanportal.org/ats — the ATS mirror of the professional students’ portal. Use it for registration, exam entry and profile updates; the result checker above works without logging in.
