Editorial Policy

This editorial policy explains how icanpathfinder sources, checks and corrects its content, and how to reach us if something looks wrong. It applies to every guide we publish on ICAN, ANAN, ATSWA and the global accountancy routes.

Sourcing

We build our guides on official and primary sources, and we link to them so you can verify for yourself:

ICAN (icanig.org and the ICAN student portal) for syllabus, registration, exemptions, exam timetables and the Financial Members List.
ANAN (anan.org.ng) and the Nigerian College of Accountancy for the ANAN pathway.
The relevant professional bodies and authorities — for example ACCA, the AICPA and NASBA — for content on global qualifications.

Where we cite a figure, a date or a rule, we aim to point you to the source that published it.

Accuracy and currency

Accountancy facts go stale — fees are revised, exam diets move, syllabuses change. Our standards:

Time-sensitive details (fees, exam dates, deadlines, statistics) are checked against the current official source and dated, so you know how fresh they are.
We prefer evergreen wording and only stamp a specific year when it genuinely matters — a particular exam diet, for instance.
If something can’t be confirmed against a reliable source, we say so plainly rather than state it as fact, and we point you to the official channel to verify.

Corrections

If you spot an error — an out-of-date fee, a changed date, a broken link — tell us and we will fix it. Email info@icanpathfinder.com or use our contact page. We check reported errors against the official source, correct the page, and update its “last modified” date. Reader corrections are one of the main ways these guides stay accurate.

Independence and advertising

icanpathfinder is free to read and supported by advertising, and some links may earn us a commission. Advertising never decides what we recommend or how we describe a qualification, fee or route — our guidance is independent of who advertises with us.
