ICAN Speeches and Presentations

Below are 10 ICAN speeches and presentations you can download free as PDFs — induction ceremony papers, AATWA lectures and entrepreneurship talks, each linking directly to the official file on icanig.org. We re-checked every link in August 2026 and removed 24 older papers that ICAN no longer hosts, so everything listed here actually downloads.

What happened to the older conference papers?
This page used to list 24 more papers — the 48th Annual Accountants’ Conference (2018), the 61st and 62nd induction ceremonies and the 2018 Stakeholders’ Forum, including talks by Jim Ovia, Taiwo Oyedele and Tola Adeyemi. ICAN has since removed those files from its website, so the links stopped working and we took them down in August 2026. If ICAN republishes any of them, we will restore the links. For newer material, check the events and publications sections on icanig.org.
Preparing for an ICAN exam instead?
Speeches are useful context, but if you are revising for a diet you want past questions and syllabus detail:
- ICAN Pathfinder archive — past questions with suggested solutions for every recent diet, all three levels
- ICAN exam timetable — current diet dates and paper order
- Foundation syllabus and Skills syllabus — what each paper covers
- ATSWA study packs — for the technicians scheme the AATWA papers above speak to
- How to become a chartered accountant in Nigeria — the full route, step by step
FAQ
Are these ICAN speeches free to download?
Yes. Every link points straight to the official PDF on icanig.org, ICAN’s website. There is no signup, payment or membership requirement.
Why are some papers I saw here before now missing?
ICAN removed the older files (mostly 2018-era conference and induction papers) from its site. Rather than leave 24 dead links, we pruned the list down to the 10 papers that still download, verified in August 2026.
Are these speeches useful for ICAN exam preparation?
Indirectly. They show how senior members think about ethics, technology and entrepreneurship — themes that surface in Case Study and the professional-level papers. For direct exam practice, use the Pathfinder past questions instead.
Where can I find recent ICAN conference papers?
ICAN publishes current material on icanig.org under its events, members and students sections. Papers from the Annual Accountants’ Conference are usually posted after each edition.
